Questions, answered.
Using TALLY
Does my usage leave my computer?
The helper on your Mac, TALLY Link, asks Anthropic and OpenAI for your own usage figures using the sign-ins already on your Mac, and passes the numbers to TALLY over USB. There is no TALLY account and no TALLY server in between, and your chats are never read.
Which plans does it work with?
Any Claude plan you use with Claude Code, and any ChatGPT plan you use with Codex. TALLY shows the limits those apps report, as percentages with their reset times.
What do I need?
A Mac, a USB-C data cable (not included; any data cable works), and Claude Code or Codex signed in on that Mac.
Does it need Wi-Fi?
No. Everything arrives over the cable.
Windows or Linux?
macOS first. Windows is next.
What happens at night?
Set your night hours in Settings. During them TALLY sleeps as soon as it goes to standby, with its eyes closed and the screen at its dimmest. A clap, a tap or the power button wakes it for a while.
Orders
What's the difference between the editions?
There are two sizes: TALLY, and TALLY Wide, which has the same screen in a wider, chunkier body. Either one can have the battery add-on, which lets it run off the cable for a few hours and shows its charge on screen.
Where do you ship?
Worldwide, from Tokyo, and free until 15 November 2026 as a launch offer. US orders include the US import duty; elsewhere, any import taxes are paid on delivery. See Shipping.
How much is it?
Launch prices: TALLY $69, the battery add-on $15, TALLY Wide $89. See Order.
Can I return it?
Defective, damaged or wrong items are replaced or refunded at our cost if you tell us within 7 days of delivery. See Returns & refunds.
Can we get our company logo on it?
Yes, on orders of ten or more. Use the company editions form.
About TALLY
Is TALLY made by Anthropic or OpenAI?
No. TALLY is an independent product by Meta Studios in Tokyo. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic and OpenAI is a trademark of OpenAI; they are named only to say what TALLY works with.
