Every message spends a little. Some days, all of it.
Your plan doesn't show a word count. It gives you a session that lasts five hours and an allowance for the week, each shown as a percentage that fills as you work.
You're not the only one. The limit is a meter you can't see, until it stops you. It refills on a timer, and the timer started with your first message, not when you sat down. TALLY puts the meter and the timer on your desk.
Watch a session fill.
Your first message opens a five-hour window. Everything you send inside it adds to the same meter, and the whole meter empties when the window closes.
The week is the long game.
On top of each session there is a weekly allowance. Every session counts toward it, and it resets at the same time each week.
TALLY shows both figures, and the day and hour your week resets.
Will it last until the reset?
The same sum TALLY does on its Detail page. Move the two sliders and the TALLY below works it out.
That's before the reset in 3h 30m. Slow down a little, or plan a break.
Your numbers, from the source.
No guessing and no TALLY servers. The helper on your Mac asks for the same figures your apps already show you.
Your Mac
Uses the Claude Code and Codex sign-ins already there.
The providers
Anthropic and OpenAI answer with your own usage, as percentages.

The figures travel down the cable. Nothing goes online from TALLY.
