The deal, in plain words.
These terms govern TALLY, its firmware, the TALLY Link helper and this website. The Privacy policy, Returns & refunds and Shipping policies form part of them.

TALLY is made and sold by Meta Studios Creative Agency KK, Tobu Bldg. 5F, 6-28-9 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-0001, Japan ("we"). Contact: hello@tallymeter.io. By using TALLY or TALLY Link, or ordering from this site, you agree to these terms.
2. What TALLY is, and is not
TALLY shows usage figures that Anthropic and OpenAI report for your own accounts. We don't control those figures, their accuracy, or how your plan's limits work, and the providers may change them at any time. TALLY is a convenience: it is not a billing statement and not an official tool of either provider. TALLY is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic or OpenAI.
3. Your accounts
TALLY Link uses the sign-ins you already have on your Mac to read your usage. You remain responsible for your accounts and for following your providers' terms. Using TALLY doesn't change your plan or your limits.
4. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the TALLY firmware on your TALLY and TALLY Link on Macs you own or control. The software is licensed, not sold. Open-source components remain under their own licences, listed with the software.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use TALLY or TALLY Link to access accounts that aren't yours, to interfere with any provider's service, or to resell data.
6. Sales, warranty and batteries
Sales. Devices are sold from Japan and shipped worldwide under the 特定商取引法に基づく表記, the Returns & refunds policy (including its special return clause) and the Shipping policy. Prices are in US dollars. US prices include the US import duty; for other countries outside Japan, import duties and taxes are not included and are paid by the recipient on delivery.
Warranty. We repair or replace a TALLY that fails under normal use within 12 months of delivery. The warranty doesn't cover physical damage, water ingress, modified hardware, or firmware other than ours. Statutory rights are unaffected.
Batteries. Charge a TALLY with the battery add-on only over USB-C from a standard computer port or a reputable 5 V charger. Don't open the case, puncture, crush or heat the battery.
7. Updates
We may offer firmware and TALLY Link updates. Some features depend on the providers' services and may stop working if a provider changes them; we'll try to update TALLY when that happens but can't guarantee it.
8. Intellectual property
TALLY, the TALLY logo and eyes, the firmware and the case design are ours. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC; OpenAI and Codex are trademarks of OpenAI.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TALLY and TALLY Link are provided "as is". We are not liable for loss arising from figures that were late, missing or wrong, or from a provider's service being unavailable. Where liability cannot be excluded it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or consumer rights that cannot be waived under the Consumer Contract Act.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
11. Changes
We may update these terms and will post changes here with a new effective date.
